Physical Education Teacher/Coordinator

Embassy International School seeks an enthusiastic, hardworking, highly motivated and well-qualified Physical Education teacher/coordinator to join our small team from August 2024. This person should be committed to teamwork and promoting the best pedagogical practice.

Minimum qualifications:

  • A certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent (PGCE/PGDE must be accompanied by a subject-relevant Bachelor’s Degree).
  • Exceptional subject knowledge, covering teamsports, individual sports, swimming, physical fitness, teaching teamwork, sportsmanship
  • A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning
  • Awareness of how this subject provides transferable skills
  • Understanding and a vision of how Physical Education as a subject contributes to the overall learning of each child and can contribute to school culture

Head of Science (KS3 Biology and KS4/5 Physics Teacher)

Embassy International School seeks an enthusiastic, hardworking and highly motivated and well-qualified Head of Science (KS3 Biology and KS4/5 Physics Teacher) to join our small, but growing, team from late August 2024. This person should be committed to teamwork and promoting the best pedagogical practice.

Our school has approximately 250 pupils from EYFS to Year 13, single form entry all the way through. Our team of over 50 teachers is characterised by passion, enthusiasm, engagement and deep knowledge of every child and their learning history.

We have coherent approaches to positive behaviour development based upon our core values, which has brought us a very pleasant, warm and respectful working environment.

The role is to expand our Science team, specialising in KS4/5 Physics and KS3 Biology.

Minimum qualifications:

  • A certified teaching qualification, such as B.Ed, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent (PGCE/PGDE must be accompanied by a subject-relevant Bachelor’s Degree).
  • Exceptional subject knowledge, particularly in Biology and Physics
  • A proven track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning
  • Experience teaching in a UK-based curriculum
  • Understanding and a history of practicing excellent child-centred teaching, individualised and based on each child’s needs
  • Experience in teaching A level and GCSE Physics essential (AQA)
  • Experience of leading science practicals
  • Experience of teaching KS3 Biology preferred
  • Experience with leading the Common Practical Assessment Criteria documentation (CPAC) for exam classes
