Joanna, Year 5 Maths Teacher, Primary Teacher

Joanna loves working with children in intercultural settings. She believes that each one of them is a unique learner with great potential and will thrive when provided with an individualized and caring approach. Joanna takes great pride in establishing positive relationships and creating a safe classroom community together with her students. She applies differentiated instruction and learning experiences to ensure that each child is fully engaged, intrinsically motivated and simply happy to be at school..

Joanna has worked in international schools for the last 15 years including teaching IB Primary Years Program in Sweden and has recently moved to Krakow with her Brazilian family. She received her B.A. teaching degree in American Literature and an M.A degree in English Linguistics from A. Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Joanna also completed Responsive Classroom and Mindfulness teacher trainings, which allowed her to further develop her teaching skills.

Joanna loves spending time with her family and friends, baking and gardening. Another great passion of hers is traveling, discovering new cultures and cuisines.
