Schindler’s Enamel Factory – school trip

Schindler’s Enamel Factory – school trip

Date: 18th January 2018

On Thursday 11th of January, our students had a trip to the Schindler’s Enamel Factory.

The Oscar Schindler Factory Museum complex is a testament that good can prevail in the worst circumstances. On the 11th of January, secondary students went on a field trip to the museum to explore what life was like in Krakow under Nazi occupation during WWII. Students interacted with the different exhibits, first learning about what life was like in Krakow before the war broke out, and then learning about life in a war-torn city. The museum is full of primary sources from the time period: newspaper clippings, images, film footage, posters, and even a tram. The nature of the museum allowed students to piece together the story piece by piece at their own pace.
