What is the “CODE.DES1GN#GAME”?
The “CODE.DES1GN#GAME” course is aimed at children aged 9 to 14 and is broken down into two semesters.
The course gives pupils an opportunity to learn about programming and explore the art of graphic design. Pupils are given the freedom to form their own teams and work out how to share roles and tasks. Each team then works together to design its own game and website.
What to expect?
Classes are divided into two sessions – Know- How and Create – which are delivered in the form of a lecture and a workshop respectively. In the Create workshops pupils discuss the project assumptions and plans and work on putting those into practice.
All groups share the same project goals, which allows for the atmosphere in the classroom to be collaborative, full of life and ideas.
What can you get?
Our mentors work in partnership with pupils – this helps to empower them and boost their self- confidence.
