Though some time has passed since our Book Day celebrations, the memories remain as vivid and joyful as ever. Book Day 2025 was a magical occasion that brought our school community together through a shared love of stories, imagination, and creativity.

The festivities began on Thursday, April 10th, with a heart-warming moment in our Early Years class, where the children surprised our librarian, Ms Aleks, by leading the reading session themselves for the very first time. Their enthusiasm for storytelling continued as they matched objects to beloved books, showing a deepening appreciation for the world of literature.
On Friday April 11th, the celebration continued across our Primary School. Pupils arrived dressed as characters from their favourite books, from wizards and fairies to pirates and classic literary figures. Throughout the day, they took part in themed workshops designed to bring books to life. Highlights included a potion-making activity that blended science with fantasy, literary challenges that tested students’ knowledge of famous quotes, a mime game focused on story characters, and a creative bookmark-making session led by a member of our PTA.

The day concluded with a well-attended Book and Bake Sale, offering homemade treats inspired by storybook favourites. Proceeds from the event were donated to the Children’s Home in Kraków, reinforcing the importance of compassion and community.
Our sincere thanks go to all the pupils, staff, and parents who contributed to making Book Day 2025 such a memorable occasion. It was a celebration not only of books, but of imagination, kindness, and the joy of learning.
