Burns supper

We would like to invite you to the 3rd annual Burns Supper which will take place on Saturday, March 16th at 18:30 at Avangarda Restaurant (Mikołaja Zyblikiewicza 1, 31-029 Kraków)

A Burns Supper is a celebration of the life and work of Robert Burns, the national poet of Scotland, and an important figure in the literary world, an international figure who represented many of our values as a school community.

The evening features music, poetry recitals, odes and toasts and, of course, whisky.

A Burns Supper, most importantly is about having fun together and enjoying each other’s company. This year we have moved to a bigger venue in order to add an extra activity – some Scottish Country Dancing in the form of a little ceilidh. We will have a short display on how to do this and then have the opportunity to dance together.

Mrs Magdalena Bobrowska accompanied by our Primary music teacher Malgorzata Marchwiana will present some songs by Burns.

Lindsay Davidson and Benedykt Walerowski will present some bagpipe and drum music.

Celtic Dance Group Comhlan will give a Scottish dance display followed by a ceilidh.

Here are photos from last year so that you can get an idea of what to expect:
