In early February, our school community gathered for the termly Music Salon, a well-established extracurricular event that provides students with an opportunity to present their musical progress. Held once each term, the Music Salon has become an important part of school life, celebrating students’ commitment to learning and performing music.
The event was attended by teachers, pupils and parents, creating a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. For many students, performing in the Music Salon represents an important step in developing confidence, as well as an opportunity to demonstrate their skills in front of an audience.
Participation in the Music Salon is open to all students attending extracurricular music classes. The focus of the event is on progress and development rather than perfection. Students demonstrate their learning through instrumental and vocal performances, showing increasing confidence, technical ability and musical awareness.
Although performing can be a challenging experience, students consistently approach the occasion with determination and focus. With the support of their teachers and the encouragement of the audience, they are able to manage performance nerves and present their work with confidence. Each performance is recognised with warm applause, acknowledging both effort and achievement.
The event concluded with a performance by Mr Dominik and Mrs Natalia, our singing teacher. Their contribution provided a fitting close to the programme and reflected the collaborative spirit of the Music Salon.
The Music Salon continues to play a key role in the school’s extracurricular provision. It supports the development of musical skills, builds confidence and offers students regular opportunities to perform in a positive and structured environment.
We would like to thank all students, staff and families who contributed to this term’s Music Salon.
We look forward to the next event and to continuing this valued school tradition!
