We have become an examination centre for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
This is a UK organisation that is made up of all of the major music conservatoires and music academies in the UK and they have a series of exams which measure a programme of study from beginner musician to entry to music academy to study music, both in terms of instrumental playing and music theory. There are 8 different steps (called grades) on the way and more than one chance in any given year to sit the exams.
This latest advancement is an important step in the development of the school’s general service to the broader international and local community in Krakow and southern Poland and is a significant point of contact with the British establishment.
Around 400,000 people worldwide sit ABRSM exams every year; they are highly respected exams and above grade 6 give ‘points’ towards University applications in the UK. More information about the work of ABRSM in Poland can be found on their website:
