During their lessons, Lower Secondary pupils have learned about the features of a heart. After absorbing theory, the time came for practice.
Pigs’ hearts were brought to the Science Room and the students cut them to examine the insides of a real organ they earlier watched only in pictures.
Their task was to observe and name all the parts of the heart, paying special attention to the difference between left and right ventricles, and then to prepare microscope slides with heart muscle tissue.
Now our pupils have become specialists in heart structure! 🙂
