“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world” – Nelson Mandela. As part of our quest to help our young people learn how they can contribute to making everyone’s tomorrow a better tomorrow we have been exploring the theme of Peace One Day.
On Thursday morning secondary students took part in an activity where they worked together to learn as much as they can about 8 different conflicts that are raging in the world today. Students made posters about each of the conflicts and then they hung them up in the lunchroom. At the end of the activity students took part in a “gallery walk” where they walked around to each poster and learned about each conflict from the work of their peers.
At 11 we took a field trip to the Małopolska Public Library to visit a photo exhibition about Syria before the conflict. It is our hope that everyone will keep this goal in their hearts for every day.
