On Saturday, 23rd June 2018, we held the first TEDx event organised by our school. The theme of the event was: “Conceivable”
The definition of conceivable is: “capable of being imagined or grasped mentally”. And TED has the motto: “ideas worth spreading”. This event was a wonderful mixture of those two concepts, where the participants were taken on a journey spanning continents, age groups and educational backgrounds. An exciting variety of speakers (both live and recorded) shared their stories across a variety of disciplines, but with an overarching theme of boundless possibility. Ultimately participants were encouraged to follow their passion without being constrained or held back by age, experience or negative feedback. There was an atmosphere of wonder and enquiry and a spirit of excellence in the organisational details of the event.
