On November 12, 2024, Early Years pupils enjoyed an exciting field trip to Żywe Muzeum Obwarzanka in Kraków.
This interactive museum, dedicated to the city’s traditional obwarzanki—parboiled dough rings with a rich history dating back over 600 years—offered the children a unique educational experience.During their visit, the pupils participated in a hands-on obwarzanki-making workshop. Each child received a piece of dough and learned the art of crafting these beloved snacks, leaving with their own freshly made obwarzanek. The museum not only provided a fun activity but also deepened the children’s understanding of Kraków’s culinary heritage and cultural significance.
The trip was well-received, with many children expressing joy and excitement about their creations and the overall experience at this charming venue located near the Main Square.
