Celebrating Peace One Day: A Journey Towards Harmony
On September 21st, our school celebrated Peace One Day with a creative spirit. Older pupils crafted origami cranes, while younger ones drew puzzle pieces symbolising peace. All students collaborated to make boats inscribed with words of hope, setting them afloat towards a harmonious school community. Through engaging roleplays, including an adaptation of “The Squirrels Who Squabbled“, we explored conflict resolution and learned valuable skills for navigating disagreements.
Celebrating occasions like Peace One Day is vital for fostering a culture of understanding and empathy within our school. These events encourage students to reflect on the importance of peace, not just in their immediate environment but also in the wider world. By engaging in creative activities and discussions, we empower our pupils to become advocates for harmony and resilience, equipping them with the tools to address conflicts constructively. Such celebrations remind us that every small act of kindness contributes to a more peaceful community.
