Our Primary students (Y1-6) took their learning outside the classroom to extend their understanding of their IPC unit on plants. The trip to the forest of Łazy was led by Mr. Ardeshir Rana, who was their very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide for the day.
The students were engaged inquirers and participated in a number of activities including, locating and identifying leaves, building a winter shelter for small animals, finding their twin tree, and sampling edible plants and berries.
For lunch the students had the opportunity to enjoy a bonfire surrounded by nature. It was a great day for the students who were able to make meaningful connections with their classroom learning. We are so proud of our students who cooperated so well together and showed respect for nature and for all living things.
